VISIT:: 1
This is my first international trip with friends; it was 2 week trip, we were 9 persons together. One of us planned everything; he even booked a hotel, van to travel around with and events to attend too.
We got to Colombo early in the morning. We got freshen up at the airport, and by the time we were done our van was waiting for us. We got in the van and left to Sigiriya in between, we visited Dambulla caves and after that, went to Sigiriya. After a day-long hike there we left for Kandy and stayed there for a night.
The following day, we visited kandy temple and left to Adams peak after a night stay, we started to hike the mountain at about 3 am to witness the sunrise, it was a beautiful sight behold.
We consecutively left for nuwara eliya, and in between, we visited the Tea estate. After the small city tour, we stayed for a night in nuwara eliya.
The next morning, we did a trek to worlds end national park after which we left for Ella. We even visited Ravana falls where I did my first water rafting and waterfall rappelling. From there, we went to Hikkaduwa.
The next day, I did my first scuba diving in the city, it was pretty tough after which we partied.
The following day, we were in Bentota to spend time on the beach, we had a small city tour in Colombo from there we took a flight back home.
This was a day to day planned trip with friends this is my second international tour.
VISIT:: 2
It is like a weekend trip for me. I boarded a flight from India to Colombo by the time I got to Colombo it was late midnight. I took a bus from airport to the center of the city then took another bus to Hikkaduwa. I got there, booked a hostel, rested and later went for a walk later that afternoon.
This was my second visit to Hikkaduwa, so I had an Idea about the place around. I went to the beach; after which I came back to the hostel. On getting to the hostel, I met 2 Germans who were on their surf trip and after a little conversation I closed for the day.
Next day, I left to Unawatuna by bus, and after getting down the bus, it was like 10 min walk to the hostel. The hostel was one of the most comfortable hostels I stayed. I met few other travelers in the hostel. My new American and Dutch friends and I went to the supermarket later in the evening to buy some food. I had a minor accident on my way to the supermarket, but I thank God for this medico traveler that we were in the same hostel together. He helped me with first aid treatment.
After that, we had some drinks, and it acted as a pain reliever (haha), after which we went to the beach, bar, and back to the hostel.
The next day, we all decided to do some surfing, but I couldn't join them because of my injury. We went to a beach to have a fun-filled time together after which we went back to the hostel.
The following day happens to be a very dry one; there were elections in Sri Lanka that day so all bars and liquor stores were closed and every one ended with soft drinks.
Next day we went to a ground next to our hostel and played soccer with locals; it was like travelers vs. Sri Lankans we spent the whole day playing soccer.
Next day I took a bus to Colombo and had a stop at Galle. After getting to Colombo I walked to hostel spent a day doing nothing and next day I had a flight back home.
